About the Oil: This might be the ultimate combination to calm the mind and meditate, or simply to uplift the spirit and ease the body from aches, kinks, or discomforts. This blend of Frankincense carteri and Serrata essential oils have compounds that have been found to enhance overall comfort and ease in our bodies and joints, as well as for the health and beauty of our skin.

Frankincense carterii and Serrata essential oils have been revered for centuries as meditation aids. This synergistic blend of Frankincense carterii and Serrata provides an ability to uplift human awareness to that "other" level by freeing the nerves from excessive tension. Frankincense helps to cease mental chatter and still the mind. It is also useful for cutting ties to the past.

Frankincense can be said to belong to the family of sacred scents. The spirits of the sacred and of meditation have surrounded frankincense for ages, allowing the spirit to rise, as smoke does, to the heavens. Resins and their oils have traditionally been associated with fumigation and purification. This explains why frankincense essential oil was first used as incense in India, China, and the Catholic churches of Europe and North America.

The ancient cultures of Egypt, Persia, Israel, Rome, and Greece prescribed frankincense oil as a medicine.

Aroma:  This frankincense blend has a rich, resinous aroma with hints of an orange blossom top note followed by a gentle camphoraceous, herbaceous middle note and deep, warm, rich molasses, woody, and balsamic undertones. Highly recommended.

Suggestions:  Well-distilled frankincense agrees with many essential oils. It combines particularly well with other 'woody' oils such as cedar, fir, spruce, and sandalwood. It adds a lovely note to florals such as lavender, neroli, rose, and ylang-ylang. Try blending it with citrus oils such as orange and lemon for a quick uplift and calm clarity of mind.
